With profound sadness we announce the passing of Shirley Zinner (nee Nash), our loving and devoted mother, as well as grandmother, and friend to all whose lives she touched, on May 27, 2020. Born May 5, 1935 in Cleveland Ohio. Preceded in death by her husband Richard Sr.
She was the beloved mother of Linda (Patrick) and Richard Jr. (Debbie); proud grandmother of Renee (Jonathan) and Ryan; great-grandmother to Raeanne, Nathan, Joel and Jenna. Dear sister to Carl “Butch” (Patricia), Mildred “Mitzie” (Ronald, dc) and Beverly (Larry). Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Shirley will be greatly missed by the multitude of people she was honored to call friends.
Shirley lived a full life; she was a seamstress for thirty years. Upon retirement, she traveled to Florida to escape the Ohio winters. She loved to bake, garden, was highly skilled with knitting needles and crochet hooks, and enjoyed polka dancing more than life itself.
Most of all, she loved her family and friends and instilled in her children strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Shirley was an avid member of her church. In lieu of a funeral service, we are asking that all who have had the privilege to know Shirley take a moment from their day to celebrate this wonderful woman’s life in a time of prayer and remembrance.
