William "Bill" F. Neal, a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on August 7, 2024. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Marjorie M. (née Bush). Together, they raised three children: Bill Neal (Phyllis), Kathy Kuhar (Bill), and Wendy Ferrara (Roger Lozinski). Bill's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Devin Neal, Travis Neal (Christina Toth), Jason Bloch (Stephanie), and Ryan Kuhar.
Born on August 12, 1930, in Gallipolis, OH, Bill was the son of the late Walter and Myrtle (née Lawless) Neal. He was the brother of the late Loren Neal and Maxine Dinunzio. After serving four years in the Air Force during the Korean War, where he attained the rank of SSGT (T), Bill returned to his hometown and began a life with Marjorie.
Bill pursued his education with determination, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education from Rio Grande College. He also achieved the certifications of "Registered Sanitarian" and "Certified Public Health Sanitarian," which led to his work as a Galia County Sanitarian for several years.
In 1967, Bill and Marjorie moved from Gallipolis to Medina, Ohio, where they welcomed their third child. Bill then embarked on a successful career with Jet Inc., a Cleveland-based aerobic wastewater treatment company, where he served as VP of Sales. Known for his dedication, Bill retired twice but couldn't resist the call to work, nearly retiring a third time before his family humorously intervened.
A lifelong Republican and proud NRA member with the CB handle "Reloader," Bill was known for his quick wit and love of storytelling. He enjoyed gardening, hunting for conservation, drinking Duke beer, and savoring the occasional George Dickel.
A private service will be held in his honor, with interment at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
Bollinger Funeral Services is honored to be assisting the family.
