Tom Myers

Thomas C Myers, age 59, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 15, 2025 after his battle with Stage 4 Melanoma cancer. He was born on November 4, 1965 to Murlyn and Jane Myers in Sturgis, Michigan. He was a 1984 Sturgis High School graduate and 1989 Michigan State graduate. 

Tom dedicated 36 years working for Lincoln Electric as a Sales Training and Educational Programs Manager. Tom was an active member in his church and he loved The Lord deeply. His passion was traveling (personally or professionally) - especially to see “that one place he heard about” and making the travel itineraries to see everything around it. He also loved to “tinker, build, and create” anything and everything – you’d find him in his workshop regularly. He truly was THAT guy that lived life to the fullest and had the most gentle, loving, genuine heart. 

Tom will be joining his brother-in-law, Bob McElmurry, in heaven. Tom is survived by his loving wife Joy, their children Ashley, Nicole (Allie), Justin (Sarah), Amy (Nate), Megan (Nick) and their little dog, Toby. He is also survived by both his parents, Murlyn and Jane, and all his brothers and sisters, Lee Ann, Lynn, Susan (Stu), Mike (Janine), Jeff (Patti), Beth (Craig) ;and a tremendous number of nieces and nephews.

Family, friends, and others whom Tom touched are invited to Brunswick United Methodist Church, 1395 Pearl Rd, Brunswick, Ohio, from10:00 am - 12:00 pm on Wednesday, February 26 to reminisce, grieve, and celebrate Tom’s life. The service will follow, immediately after.
