Sally M Walter

Sally Marie Walter, age 56, passed away May 21, 2023 after a brief illness.  Sally was born September 5, 1966 in St. Marys, Pennsylvania, and was a graduate of St Marys Area High School, class of 1984.  She left St. Marys and moved to Ohio in the 1990's to reside and work for Hawk / Wilman Friction for many years, with her final place of employment at Walmart in Ohio.  Sally married Marvin Eugene Walter June 18, 2005 at the camp in Cameron, PA.  He preceded her in death, having passed December 26, 2018.  Sally liked to play scratch lottery tickets, play cards, fish, cook, can food, shop, and go to camp in PA.  She loved her dogs, but especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

 

Sally is survived by her brothers, David Gerg (Yvonne Ravenwood) of Bloomfield NM, Tony Gerg (Cindy) of St. Marys PA, Tim Gerg (Glenda) of St. Marys PA, and Dan Gerg (Rhonda) of Kane PA; and nieces and nephews, Marie, Elaine, Erika, Desiree and Jon.

 

In addition to her husband, Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Richard B. and Mary A. DeGroat Gerg.

 

Sally’s final resting place will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, alongside her husband.

 

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hospice of Medina County inpatient unit or to the Humane Society.
