Thomas Vincent Pribish, 92, of Hinckley, passed away Tues, April 24 at his home. Tom graduated from West Tech High School in 1944. He spent 26 months in the US Army (Phillipines), later attending Miami U on the GI Bill.
Tom was a minor league pitcher for Cleveland for 2 years. He loved all sports. An avid fan, Tom never missed a Browns game in the 20 years he was a ticket holder. He also played basketball until the age of 83. He married the love of his life, Ann Marie, in 1952. They had 3 children, and were married 64 years before her death last year. Tom’s career of finance and sales suited his personality perfectly. He was also a successful artist, continuing to paint until his death.
He is survived by his children, Sandie Varrone (Steve) and Vincent Pribish, and grandchildren, Kyle and Natalie Varrone, along with one brother, Richard Pribish. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Goodwin (Jerry, surviving), wife Ann Marie, and 10 half brothers and sisters.
Tom will be missed for his always optimistic view on life, his sense of humor, and his love of God, family and friends! A celebration of life will be held, Saturday, May 5 at 11:00 am at Grace Church, 754 Ghent Road, Akron, with a light meal to follow.
Donations may be made in his memory to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44110. Our sincere thanks to Mary Beth Carriker and Stacy Westphal for their excellent care.
