PRAKAP, Robert A. “Bob”, age 66 of Strongsville, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021. Loving Dad of Cortney N. Wilson (nee Prakap) (Christopher); cherished grandfather to William and Lilly; brother of Russell Prakap; son-in-law to Robert Weigand; ex-husband of Chris Filley (Duane); son-in-law to Bob Weigand (Sharon) brother-in-law to Julie Weigand, Bob Weigand (Sharon), Wally Weigand; faithful dog Pearl; uncle, cousin and friend of many. Preceded in death by his parents Russel and Thelma Prakap and mother-in-law Blanche Weigand. Passed away Friday, February 26, 2021.

Bob graduated from James Rhodes HS 1972. A  Mason of 40 years at North Star Lodge #638.  Majority member of Fairview Park DeMolay Chapter. He worked as the third shift supervisor, Material Handling for 38 years for the Cleveland Clinic/Cardinal Health. He was one of the pioneers that went to Cleveland Clinic Florida to help with that operation for almost 5 years. His daughter and grandchildren were the twinkle in his beautiful blue eyes. He was most proud of his daughter serving in the US Navy. One of Bob’s true loves was the many cars that he has had over the years.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Patrick Vargo, the other numerous doctors, nurses, specialty teams called in and the J5-5,6 teams of the Cleveland Clinic for never giving up and giving Bob the utmost care. God Bless you for all that you do for your patients and us the families.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Dyslexia Center Inc. – Cleveland. Checks should be forwarded to Robert C. Cygan, Treasurer, 432 Xavier St., Elyria, OH 44035.

Friends may gather at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 4334 Pearl Rd., Cleveland, OH 44109 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 6, 2021, with funeral services immediately following at 12:00 pm.  Burial to follow at Brooklyn Hts. Cemetery.

  1. Bob, I will miss you a lot buddy! We had a lot of fun working together and our interests in all things automotive. You lived life and loved your dogs and your family and especially our Cleveland Browns! I”ll miss our new car shows we enjoyed going to together. We always had a lot of good talks about life and cars of course. We worked third shift together for 8 years and loved you as my supervisor. Rest in piece and you are dearly missed.
