Peter Wilson

December 20, 1938 — March 17, 2025

Brunswick

Peter Wilson, a devoted husband, father, uncle, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025. Born in Manchester, England, on December 20, 1938, he was the beloved son of the late Harry and Irene (Oddie) Wilson.

Peter is survived by his brothers, Neil Wilson of Ontario and Ian Wilson of Ontario, and his sister, Sandra Crossley of Manchester. He also leaves behind several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Bernice Cohen (Wilson), his stepson, David Wilson, and his beloved wife, Jean Wilson (Cholerton).

A proud native of Manchester, Peter immigrated to Canada and later to the United States in 1969, eventually settling in Cleveland, where he worked for many years at Ford Motor Company. During his time in England, he played rugby for the Rugby Football League, a sport he was deeply passionate about. He was also a devoted Manchester United supporter, rarely missing a game. Peter enjoyed golfing, sharing laughs over a pint with friends, and telling stories—his infectious laughter and quick wit were treasured by all who knew him.

Beyond his family, Peter will be remembered as a loyal and generous friend, always ready with a kind word or a joke. His warmth, humor, and loving spirit will be deeply missed.

The family will be planning a celebration of life at a later date. Details will be posted here when they become available.
