Morton, Shelli

Shelli Morton, 61, of Brunswick passed away on Monday April 27th with her family by her side. She was born to Florine Schultz on February 17th, 1959, and was preceded in death by her stepfather, Kenneth Schultz and sister, Sherri Morton McKnight. Shelli graduated from Brunswick High School in 1977. After graduation, Shelli began working for Swagelok, and was a hardworking and loyal employee for over 35 years. She married Russell Gulliford in 1984. Shelli is survived by her loving husband, Russell, her two beloved children, Ryan Gulliford (Brandi Krzynowek) and Kate Gulliford; stepchildren, Michelle Fabrizi and Russell Gulliford III; her loving mother, Florine Schultz, dear sister, Stephanie Morton, and nieces, Erinn Dirth and Samantha Darnell. Shelli is also survived by two cherished granddaughters, Eleanor and Marilyn Gulliford, and grandnephew Birch Dirth.

For those she loved, Shelli had a generous heart and a spirit of selflessness that none could rival. Her sense of humor and competitive spirit (As evidenced by numerous Best in Shows at the Medina County Fair) were some of her best qualities that brought out the best in others. Her love of books, music, and movies made a lasting impact on those closest to her, and Elton John, Jeopardy, and Halloween will always have a special meaning for those that knew her best.

A private service for immediate family will be held on Saturday May 2nd , 2020, and a celebration of life will be held for all who loved her at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Medina Co. 4-H Endowment Fund and mailed to:  OSU Extension, Medina Co., 120 W. Washington St., Suite 1-L, Medina, OH 44256.
