Michael Rieger

Michael Alan Rieger, 57, of Medina passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025 after a long battle with brain cancer. Michael was a caring and gifted man with and infectious laugh and fun personality. He loved to help anyone in need as "acts of service" was his love language. He was a proud marine who served his time as a crew chief. His love for aviation continued into his career as he worked as an A&P mechanic for the Cleveland Clinic and then Metro LifeFlight rescue helicopters where he was trusted and highly respected. In Mikes free time he enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family and close circle of friends.

He is survived my his wife of 27 yrs, Kalie Rieger (Sumen); his children, Jacob, Sunny and Grace Rieger; As well as 2 of 3 sisters, Karen Gedeon (Rieger) of MIddleburg Heights, Ohio and Amy Walker (Rieger) of Tuscon Arizona. 

He has joined his parents, Alan Roy Rieger and Judith Ann Rieger (Laurila), as well as his oldest sister Loraine Rodrigues (Rieger) in heaven. A Celebration of Life service will he held Friday, January 31st at 1:00 pm at Medina Community Church, 416 Broadway St. Medina, Ohio.
