Fred Luce, 76, of Chippewa Lake, Ohio passed away on July 28, 2022. Fred was born and raised in Chippewa Lake, and spent the majority of his life there, where his heart remained. He grew up with an amusement park for a playground. He loved to fish and boat; and greeted everyone with a Bud Light and a joke. Fred joined the Army and was an air traffic controller. He followed his passion and obtained his private pilot license. He later found his passion for building and made several houses into homes for his family. He later obtained his CDL and drove all around the country. He had a story for every place he went. He defied the odds for every health obstacle placed in his path. He would do anything for anyone he met. He lived his life with kindness, strength, honesty, simplicity and so much humor. Think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched; for those we love are never lost, and he was loved so much.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Anne Luce and his sister, Patti Walter. He is survived by his loving wife, Pixie (Annette); brothers and sisters, Judy (Leo) Sprunger, Ken Luce, Kathy Luce, Diane (Tim) Jackson, and James Luce; children, Mark (Michelle) Layton, Elizabeth (Jorian) Rivera, Kelly Cashin, Sean (Amy) Cottrell; grandchildren, Ellie and Claire Rivera, Meg and Mia Layton, Kate and John Cashin, Abby and Avery Cottrell; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; and Susan Slimick, mother of Mark and Elizabeth.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date, and will be announced at that time.
