Karen L Goodyear

Karen L. Goodyear, age 82, passed away July 26, 2024. Karen worked for many years as an Executive Secretary at GMAC. After retiring from that position, she then worked as an Executive Secretary and then Branch Manager for General Fed Credit Union. She also worked at Lucky Penny and drove for Suburban Transport. Karen was a selfless woman whose passing left an unfillable gap in the hearts of her loved ones. Her ability to sacrifice, support, forgive and love will be forever ingrained in all she knew.  She deeply loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Karen is survived by her loving children, Ronald Southwick (Karen, deceased) and Christine Bohland (Richard); grandchildren, Sara Lee (Derwin), Roddy Southwick, Ronald Southwick, Danielle Bohland-Towslee (David), Ryan Bohland (Allyson) and Dylan Bohland (Hannah); great-grandchildren, Vivienne Cooper-Southwick & Juniper Lee-Southwick, Carter Towslee and Ozzy Bohland; and sister, Georgia Harvey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Catherine Miller, and her brother, Edward Miller.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1330 N. Carpenter Road, Brunswick on Tuesday, August 6 at 6:00 pm, followed by a time of fellowship in the church hall.
