Janet Bolton

Janet Bolton, age 61, passed away on February 21, 2025. She was born on July 20, 1963 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents, Jackie Bolton and Flossie Bolton (nee Whitaker).

Janet grew up on the west side of Cleveland until bussing started and her family moved to Grafton, Ohio. Janet always felt a need to travel back to her friends and the neighborhood she loved so much near W. 83rd Street. She still has a huge friend base in the old neighborhood, even though Grafton in later years became her home.

She was an avid animal lover, owning quite a few dogs and cats. If it needed a home, Janet was there to rescue them. She would spend her money, even if it put her in debt, taking them to veterinarians. Janet was just as kind to the older folks, working for quite a few years caring for them in their home. She was a blessing to all whom she cared for.

Even in the tough and worst times of Janet’s life, when the world turned its back on her, she kept a positive outlook. And even though she didn’t see her nieces and nephews as much as she wanted to, she still above all, dearly loved them.

And to all her friends, that have always been there for her, please remember all the fun times together. It was a good chapter in her life.

Friends and family will be welcomed on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Reichlin Roberts Bollinger Funeral Home at 327 Cleveland Street in Elyria, Ohio at 10:00 am for visitation, with funeral service following at 11:00 am. Burial will be at River Road Cemetery in LaGrange, Ohio immediately after the service.
