Gulliford, Russell Jr.

Russell Gulliford Jr. 66, of Brunswick passed away on January 16th, 2021 after being involved in a tragic car accident in Grafton Township. He was born on October 26th, 1954.  Russell is preceded in death by his beloved wife Shelli Morton. Russell is survived by his former wife Lucie Lantz and their cherished children, Michelle Fabrizi (Frank), Russell Gulliford III (Jennifer) and Joseph Gulliford; and his children with his beloved wife Shelli Morton, Ryan Gulliford (Brandi) and Kate Gulliford. Russell is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Nicholas, Vanessa, and Dominic Fabrizi; Mason and Bryce Gulliford, and Eleanor and Marilyn Gulliford.

The son of Sylvia and Russell Gulliford Sr, Russell Jr. grew up one of nine children in Cleveland and graduated as a 5 sport letterman from Lincoln West High School in 1972. Through the years, Russell has maintained close and loving relationships with his siblings and his Lincoln West classmates. Russell was a hardworking and loyal employee of Swagelok for over 35 years and was able to develop long lasting friendships even after he retired.

In his retirement Russell enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas, fishing with his children and grand kids, and working in his garden raising vegetables with Eleanor and Marilyn to enter at the Medina County Fair. Russell was a lifelong Cleveland Browns and Indians fan and Ohio State Buckeyes Fan. One of his favorite family traditions was when everyone got together for the annual Ohio State vs. Michigan Chili Cook Off.

Russell was a loving father and grandfather, cherished sibling and steadfast friend who will be greatly missed. The shock and pain of losing Russell so suddenly will fade but he will live on forever in our hearts. A private service for his children and grandchildren will be held at Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Brunswick, OH where he will be interned with his wife Shelli. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.   2. Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Russell. Russell was a great friend and neighbor. He was the first to welcome Ken and I to the neighborhood back in 2004. We will miss our visits on the porch. I hope he knew how much he was loved. Rest in Peace.
