KARL H. FISHER, 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 14, 2022. He was born June 20, 1943 in Bedford, IN to the late Russell E. and Mary Alice (Younger) Fisher.

Karl retired from the Mazel Company as National Sales Manager. He loved his work and developed many close friends there. His hobbies included Reenacting for the American Revolutionary War and then the Civil War with best friend Jeff Houston , building muzzle loaders, powder horns, etc. He loved the outdoors – running, biking, and hiking. He flew remote control airplanes. Karl loved his family and was very proud to be called dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa. He was an avid reader of the Civil War. Karl loved to travel with his wife, and one of his favorite places was Kuai, visiting there several times. His company allowed him to visit Israel and provided a tour guide for him. He loved that he was walking on the same spots that Jesus walked. Karl was a member of the CLA (Contemporary Longrifle Association) and FaithWalk Church, and was a volunteer for the MetroParks system.

Karl is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Barbara; sons, Russell (Sherry) and William (Jeanne); daughter, Lori Barnes (Will); step-sons, Mark and Derek Reed; and step-daughter, Terri Vidmar; 3 sisters, Christine Martin and Shirley Fisher of Memphis, TN and Marilyn Neal (Michael) of Austin, TX.  He has been blessed with 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.   He will be missed by his four-legged children, Bengie and Daisy.

Karl was preceded in death by his brother, Charles and son, Frank.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 19 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, with a service at 7:00pm, at FaithWalk Church, 1480 Pearl Rd., Brunswick.

Because of Karl’s love for dogs, in lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Medina County Animal Shelter, 6334 Deerview Lane, Medina, OH 44256.
