Emma E DeMooy

Emma E. DeMooy, 85, passed away peacefully November 13, 2024.

Emma was known for her kindness, her selflessness, and her deep love for her family and friends. She touched the hearts of everyone who knew her and leaves behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and compassion.

Emma spent her life working hard and always putting others first. She had a special way of making everyone feel seen and loved, and her golden hair was as recognizable as her radiant smile. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and will be remembered for her nurturing spirit and the joy she brought to all around her.

Emma was the proud owner of a pizza place "Em's" and a dedicated employee of Marc's in Strongsville for over 20 years. She loved to be outdoors, relax on her front porch, and have her daily Bible readings. She would call friends and family just to say she loved you.

Emma is survived by her loving children, Bear (Debbie) DeMooy and Renee’ Summers; her beloved grandchildren, Traci (Simon), Jonna, Michael, Jessica, Charlie (Annie), Crystal (Ash), and Andy; and seven great-grandchildren. Emma was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” DeMooy, and her grandson, Christopher.

The family will receive friends at Grace Baptist Church, 3480 Laurel Road, Brunswick on Wednesday, November 20 from 10:00 – 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00. Burial will be at Strongsville Cemetery.  In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Southwest General Hospice.  Online donations can be made by clicking here.
