Elwood, Cecil

CECIL ELWOOD was born in Belfast, Ireland. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and the VFW having served in the Navy and the Merchant Marines during WWII.

Cecil was an avid golfer, fisherman, and woodcarver who won numerous awards for the decoys he carved. He was well known as an office furniture designer artist.

Cecil is survived by his children, Michael (Nancy), Robert (Sandy), Corrine Clink (Eric), and Katy Kern (Douglas); 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and numerous cousins in Ireland. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Marjorie, and also his wife Lois.

The family will receive friends at the ZABOR FUNERAL HOME, 5680 PEARL RD. (between Ridge and Snow Rds) on Monday from 3-7pm with a VFW service at 6:30pm followed by military honors by the US Navy.
