Juan M. Duran, Jr., 58 of Medina passed away peacefully on January 29, 2023 following a lengthy illness. He worked in construction and loved his job and the people that he worked with. Juan loved cooking, debating politics, fishing, gardening, and the outdoors. He enjoyed chopping wood and then sitting by his fireplace. Juan loved decorating for Easter and Christmas and setting up his train set. He also loved his dogs Scooby and Koko and will be missed by all who knew him.
Juan is survived by his wife of 24 years, Gerri (nee Lunder); children, Juan III (Ashley), Joseph, Brittney, Miguel, and Maria; grandchildren, Enoch, Adina, and Everly; parents, Juan, Sr. and Cathleen; sister, Celeste Cocca (Michael); brother, Alan Duran; and nephews, Nick, Kris (Sarah), and Alex Cigic.
The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Church, 12700 Pearl Rd., Strongsville, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass. Interment to follow at York Township Cemetery.
