Delbert Ray Saffle Jr., born November 14, 1964 in Lodi, Ohio, died October 19, 2024 due to complications of ALS.
Delbert loved camping, fishing and dogs. He especially enjoyed traveling back to Webster Springs, West Virginia, where he spent much of his years growing up before moving back to Ohio to be near his family. Delbert was a hard worker who believed any job should be done right. Throughout his life, he worked in a variety of labor positions, including construction, masonry, two lumber mills, Alro Steel, and finally retired from Filter Services. After retirement, he was able to realize his dream of owning a motorcycle when he bought his Harley Davidson. He liked to call himself “A fat boy on a Fatboy”, and was even able to ride it back to his beloved West Virginia.
Delbert is survived by his significant other of 27 years, Kim Miller; step-children, Brian, Heather and Jeffrey; grandchildren, Aiden, David and Brielle; sister, Karrie (Dennis) Sadzewicz; nephew, Oliver; and Niece, Autumn.
Delbert was preceded in death by his mother, Vera Saffle, and father, Delbert Ray Saffle, Sr.
