Cassidy, John P.

John Paul Cassidy, 53, of Sharon Township, OH went home to the Lord on April 28, 2018 after a long, courageous battle with illness. Born on September 29, 1964, was a 1983 graduate of Medina High School, and of the University of Akron.

John is survived by his wife Michelle (VanDeWoestyne) Cassidy. Together they have two wonderful children who were his pride and joy, Nicholas 15, and Olivia 12. He will be missed dearly by them, along with his parents: mother Prov Marie Godley, step-father Thomas Godley, father John Warren Cassidy, and stepmother Pamela Cassidy. John is also survived by his sisters Denise (Cassidy) Henkel and Kelly (Cassidy) Fodor, and step-sister Charli (Bean) Houdeshell, along with brother-in-law Eric Henkel, and nieces, Angela Marie Henkel and Maria Lillian Fodor.

Known by many of his loved ones as Johnny, his vibrant sense of humor and eagerness for long, heart-felt conversation will be missed, until we meet again. John was a successful sales executive in the computer industry most recently employed at SHI International, Corp.

A memorial mass at will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 19 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 1088 Ridge Road, Hinckley, Ohio, with a luncheon to follow.
