Barbara Joyce Miller (nee Galo), 90, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away on December 11, 2023, in Cleveland. She was born on February 18, 1933, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Andrew and Ruby Galo.
Barbara, lovingly known as a free-spirit, was an adventurous soul who had a deep love of medicine and a profound appreciation for nature, animals, and the ocean. She also enjoyed playing the piano. After leaving Chagrin Falls where she raised her beloved sons, John and Dave, her thirst for knowledge led her to travel extensively, living in Kansas, Florida, Alaska, and Santa Domingo.
Barbara received her high school diploma from Cleveland's West Tech High and went on to further studies at the Cuyahoga Community College, Kent State University and the Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City. She first worked as a medical technician and later certified as a Physician's Assistant. Barbara's passion for healthcare ultimately led her to become a licensed chiropractor.
Barbara's burial service took place at the Foxfield Preserve at the Wilderness Center on December 14. She is survived by her sons, John (Aura) and Dave (Ruth); her brothers, Dan and Ray; her sister, Judy; five nieces, nine nephews, five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
