Alford, April

April Alford (Turner), 45, passed away on Tuesday March 9, 2021. April was born in Cleveland on February 22, 1976, and grew up in Old Brooklyn until the age of 12, then moved to and remained in Brunswick the rest of her school years.

April was the only child of Rich and Marion (Harmon) Turner, of Brunswick; niece of Thomas Harmon of Wadsworth; very close with some special Aunts, and many cousins. Her passion in life was to be an extremely loving, and proud mother of Seaira, baby Turner (deceased), Desiray, and Dakota, and a little girl, Rilyn (adopted).

April’s passion for people and bringing happiness, laughter, and love to friends, and those who surrounded her, made them family, as it did with Seth (Seaira’s boyfriend) coming into our lives and being our rock. Her first job out of college was as a nanny for a family that meant the world to her, and continues for us today. Her ex-husband, Wil Alford, said he always had love for her in his heart, even through the tough times. A long time friend and companion, Doni Hutch, was with her through thick and thin, strived to comfort her in the down times, and keep her going strong for her kids. Anyone who knew April felt her warmth and caring ways immediately. And if you experienced her sense of humor, you’d be laughing the rest of the day. She was stuck on nature, nurturing, and being a ray of sunshine in everyone’s life. We will all miss her bright smile and infectious laugh.
