Weigand, Marlene G.

Marlene Grace Weigand (nee Frye), 60 years old of Parma, passed away on October 26, 2019, at the Cleveland Clinic, after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was born on July 16, 1959 in Greensburg, PA and was the daughter of the late Paul and Esther (nee Wolff) Frye. Marlene is survived by her husband, Walther Joseph Weigand, whom she married on February 16, 1985.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children, Joshua (Michelle) of Parma Heights, Wally (Julie) of Litchfield and Paul Weigand of Parma; five grandchildren, Serenity and Evzen Weigand and Kaden, Haleigh and Kolsen Weigand. She is also survived by her father-in-law, Robert Weigand; her siblings, Barbara (Mark) Collins of Mansfield, Paul (Carol) Frye of Greensburg, PA, Dave (Mary Beth) Frye of Barrington, RI, Dennis Frye of Greensburg, PA; sister-in-laws, Chris (Duane) Filley and Julie Weigand; brother-in-law, Bob (Sharon) Weigand and many nieces and nephews.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents and her mother-in-law, Blanche Weigand.

She graduated from Greensburg-Salem High School in 1978 and worked at Premier Manufacturing Company for 28 years. Marlene was a kind, caring and fun-loving woman. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored, her family and her many friends who meant the world to her.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11:00am at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 5930 State Road, Parma, OH. Pastor Jason Harlen Rife will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

    She was always upbeat and caring! I am proud to call her my friend 🙂
    We always had a Great time at our 4th of July partys. Our adventure thru the woods in the dark was always so much fun .
    We truely lost a Beautiful soul.
